Abe Solomon & Ed Purtill Scholarships

Greetings,
Due to the continued success of the Beefsteak Fundraisers held the last nine years, the Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council Scholarship Trustees will offer eight scholarships for the year 2020. Each scholarship will be for $1,000.00. Only members of local unions affiliated with the Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council, AFLCIO, and their dependents are eligible and may apply.
We are giving four scholarships in the memory of Abe Solomon, and four in the memoryof Ed Purtill. Enclosed are both scholarship application forms. Please read all the eligibility requirements.
The Selection Committee requests that all applications are sent by US Mail and received by April 11, 2020.
Since the beginning of the scholarship fund forty-one years ago, one hundred ninety-six scholarships have been awarded. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the officers of the Bergen Labor Central Trades & Labor Council, AFL-CIO, thank you for your support and cooperation.
